![]() ![]() I can also replace a device someone dropped on a field project, that was originally purchased in 2018 or 2019, for $350 - $500. ![]() News flash: businesses (including the one I run) buy Surface products because they are a match for anything on the market and Microsoft Support is superior if you are not a whining little internet troll and actually use it. As for businesses buying them as D grade devices, that makes you a definite troll and a fool as well. ![]() The rest suggest you are either clueless, lazy, or a garden variety troll. You know, the same thing you use when you get a defective MacBook (which happens to quite a few people at this point). I think businesses who don't care about their employees probably buy these for their staff, other than that they are just a D grade device.Ī couple of things are defects for which you have a magical thing called a warranty. Honestly I give this device a score of 3/10, there just isn't really anything good about it, nothing, except that it's made out of metal except I'm not even sure that's good as it just gets uncomfortably hot on your lap. I think that even my old MacBook with the i3 chip in it was faster. It's one of the slowest laptops I've used in the last 3 years. It's really slow, I thought having an i7 it would be fast (i7, 32GB, 1TB), it's not. It's a wannabe magsafe, but it's such a hassle to fumble around and try connect it and it always falls out when you have the laptop on your leg and you bump it. I cannot change the settings because they are greyed out due to being controlled by the Intune policy. Despite having a policy pushed from Intune that forces the laptop to hibernate when the lid is closed, the laptop stays on when I shut the lid.You can't sign into the UAC prompt as an admin using a PIN, it just keeps failing and even Microsoft support have no clue why.It has really bad coil whine, just sitting here typing on it and it makes bad noises.I'm not really a fan of those notches in the screen of the new MacBook Pros so I thought I would get a 13.5" Surface Laptop 5 just to try something new. It lasted me for about 5.5 years before it finally gave out. ![]()
